Our expert speakers have extensive experience of working in the financial markets and have been specially trained to guide you through every aspect of spread betting – from the very first steps through to advanced trading strategies.

David Jones

David has worked in financial markets for more than a decade and qualified as a technical analyst in 1995.

Over recent years he has been involved in creating and running a wide range of educational programmes for private and institutional investors.

The training David provides ranges from the basics of financial markets through to more advanced short- and medium-term trading strategies.

Peter Martin

Peter has over ten years' experience in financial derivatives, spread betting and CFDs.

Directly acquainted with the trading experience through many years working as a dealer on our trading floor, including time spent running the retail Sales Trading team, he has expansive knowledge of our products, platforms and methodologies.

Using this know-how, Peter created the TradeSense education programme, which he currently oversees as our Director of Client Education.

Peter Murphy

Peter has worked in financial markets for over 25 years and is a senior member of the Sales Trader team at IG Index.

Prior to joining IG Index, Peter enjoyed a successful career trading Spot Foreign Exchange for over ten years at Hambros, the merchant bank. Peter delivers seminars covering the Fundamentals of Spread Betting and Exploring FX.

Mike McCudden

Mike has over 10 years' experience working in financial services.

Before moving into financial spread betting and CFD trading, Mike worked as a senior market maker and proprietary trader at Aitken and Co.

Based in Scotland, Mike delivers seminars covering the basics of spread betting, through to more advanced techniques.
